Bsnes
Bsnes is a popular free and open-source SNES emulator that works with a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, MacOS, BSD, and RetroArch.
Even though Bsnes is no longer actively maintained and the project has been replaced by other emulators such as Higan and Ares, the community continues to promote Bsnes, which has good compatibility and accuracy and also includes a RetroArch core version that can be an ideal alternative.
The “Bsnes-HD” branch, which improves the gaming experience by allowing “Mode 7” enabling a higher in-game resolution and widescreen rendering, is among the most appreciated variants and gives new life to your favorite SNES games.
Although there are newer alternatives available now, Bsnes remains an excellent choice, particularly when used with the RetroArch environment and capable of running SNES games even on low-end devices with good compatibility and performance.

Beware of scam sites!
The only official site are bsnes.dev and the only true github page is this.
A fake site and a fake github page, apparently full of useful guide and offering even ROM download links.
Same thing seems to be happened with many other emulator like Citra, Visualboyadvance, PPSSPP and many others.
Please don’t trust this site as they can contain viruses and various harmful material.
Follow only the official site and the github page.
