Yaba Sanshiro 2 – a Sega Saturn emulator
Yaba Sanshiro 2 is a free Sega Saturn emulator available for Windows, iOS, and Android. It is based on the open-sourced code of the Yabause emulator and is currently one of the best choices to emulate Sega Saturn titles on Android and iOS smartphone and other handled device.
Also known as uoYabause, this emulator is slightly more focused on Sega Saturn Games emulation on Android and iOS than the competitors, but a Windows version is also available and regularly updated, including some nice features, like save state support, the ability to increase internal resolution for better graphics, and external controller support.
The project name changed to Yaba Sanshiro 2 after the cheat feature implemented in the emulator caused the original app to be blacklisted from the App Store.
While Linux systems were supported in the previous 1.0 release, there is no official Linux release at the moment for Yaba Sanshiro 2.
A Pro version is available on the Google app store for $5.49, allowing removing ads (and also supporting the developer), but you can safely use the free version without specific limitations.
Also in a similar way, on iOS there is a lite version available for free with ads and the limitation of only a maximum of 3 games installed and a pro version for $4.99.
